🍂 Before Your Child Begins
🌱 Frequently Asked Questions
Does my child have to nap?
No. Children who still need a nap are given the opportunity to sleep during our rest period. Children who have outgrown naps participate in quiet rest before transitioning to calm activities.
Do you provide meals?
Yes. Healthy meals and snacks are provided as part of the program.
Do you follow a preschool curriculum?
Yes. Our program combines intentional teaching with play-based, child-centered learning. Experiences support early literacy, mathematics, science, creativity, physical development, social-emotional development, and kindergarten readiness.
Do children go outside every day?
Outdoor learning is an important part of our program, and we spend significant time outside whenever conditions allow. Our outdoor environment is considered an extension of our classroom.
Are you a daycare or a preschool?
We're both.
Dean Family Child Care Home & Preschool is a licensed family child care program offering full-day care in a small, home-based environment, with a strong emphasis on early learning and preschool education.
Children learn throughout the day through play, exploration, nature, hands-on experiences, meaningful relationships, and intentional teaching.
As children approach kindergarten, learning becomes increasingly intentional and supports early literacy, mathematics, science, creativity, communication, independence, social-emotional development, problem-solving, and kindergarten readiness.
Our goal is to give families the best of both worlds: the warmth and consistency of in-home child care with the intentional learning of a high-quality preschool.
